Bursaries

NCWQ are delighted to have offered 12 bursaries of $1000 each for 2012 for women in Queensland.


NCWQ would like to thank all applicants for their submissions.
The bursaries for 2012 were awarded at a ceremony on Thursday 3rd May.
NCWQ would like to take this opportunity to once again thank the Sponsors for their generous support.

Bursaries available in 2012 were:

Mayor Paul Pisasale Bursary
(2 bursaries)
  • Resident of Ipswich City Council
  • Be enrolled in full time tertiary study
  • Demonstrate commitment to leadership in the community
Mayor Pam Parker Bursary
  • Resident of Logan City Council
  • Be enrolled in full time tertiary study
  • Demonstrate commitment to leadership in the community
Office for Women Bursary
(2 bursaries)
  • Be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander tertiary student
  • Be studying for a qualification in a non-traditional industry (eg mining, construction, science, engineering, technology, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, marine, transport and logistics and aviation.)
NCWQ Rural / Regional Bursary
(2 bursaries)
  • Live in a regional or rural area of Queensland
  • Commence tertiary study in 2012
Senator Boyce Bursary
  • Eligible to receive a disability support pension
  • Enrolled in tertiary study
DiH Health & Wellbeing Bursary
  • Over the age of 18
  • Have been diagnosed with a mental illness
  • Enrolled in an education program
Elements Living Bursary
  • Be enrolled in full-time studies or commencing full-time within 6 months of application
  • Be able to demonstrate commitment to leadership through active participation in either a religion or community based organisation with the intent of improving the lives of seniors
  • Be under the age of 25
Ergon Energy Bursary
  • Be enrolled in a full time Electrical Engineering degree
Stella Bursary
  • Be a high school student in year 10, 11 or 12
  • Live in the Redcliffe area
  • Be the child of a sole parent
